Fly cues, in sync,
on every device.
FlyCue is a fly cue system built for theatre. Draw up your flying plot, sequence the cues by act and scene, and keep the fly floor, the deck and the prompt corner looking at exactly the same cue — live.
Runs in the browser · Works offline · Native apps coming
Built for the fly floor
Paperwork that keeps up with the show
Spreadsheets and photocopied cue sheets go out of date the moment something changes in tech. FlyCue keeps one version of the truth, and everyone is on it.
One plot, everywhere
Bar numbers, scenic items, type, weight, WLL and distance to the setting line — entered once, visible to every operator on the show.
Cues that track
Every move carries a bar, an action, a speed and an operator. Jump to cue 14 and it runs the stack forward to get there, so no move is skipped.
Live on every device
Share a six-digit show code and every phone, tablet and laptop follows the same cue in real time. Or run it entirely offline.
The plot
Your line set schedule, live
Every bar on the rig, with the detail the crew actually needs at the lock rail. Click any cell to edit. Rows in red exceed that bar's working load limit.

Colour-coded bars
Give each bar a colour and it carries through to the cues and the rig view.
Weight against WLL
Anything over the working load limit for that set turns red instead of hiding in a column of numbers.
CSV in and out
Import an existing schedule, export the plot or the cues back to a spreadsheet. Your data stays yours. Import is the Admin's to run, since it can overwrite a plot.
Into a new venue
Don't retype the house's rig
Every venue hands you a hanging plot as a PDF. Upload it and FlyCue reads the table — bar numbers, items, weights, distances — straight into your plot. Touring into a new house stops meaning an hour of typing before you've hung anything.

Your plot, filled in
Same cue list, new rig
Carry the cue stack from venue to venue and re-point it at the house you're in. The moves don't change; the line sets do.
Or bring a spreadsheet
CSV import for the plot and the cues if that's what the production office already has. Export back out the same way.
Save it as a venue
Keep a house's line sets as a reusable rig — My Venues — and start the next production there from the house layout, not a blank page. On a House licence it can be shared with the whole crew.
The cues
Call the show, cue by cue
Dividers for House Open, Act 1 and Act 2. Every move reads as BAR · IN or BAR · OUT, with its speed and the operator who takes it.
Preset
Presets, dividers, holds
Mark the act preset, break the stack into sections, and drop in a holding slide wherever the show pauses — the interval sits in the cue list like everything else.
Speeds and operators
Slow, standard or fast, and whose move it is — so a cue sheet printed for one op only carries their moves.
Deads by name
Give a bar as many intermediate trims as it needs, each with its own height and colour. Name it once — House Curtain Dead 1 — and call it by name for the rest of the run.
Rig view
See where the whole rig sits
Flip from the cue to the rig and you get the entire line set schedule drawn out — every bar between IN and OUT, at the state it will be in after any cue in the stack. Useful in the room when the director asks what's flying at the top of Act 2, and useful on the rail when you've jumped and need to know what's already in.
In performance
Readable from the other side of the room
Fullscreen Mode is what goes on the monitor at the fly floor. One cue at a time, in type big enough to read from across the space: what moves, which way, how fast, and whose it is.
- Show name and running time along the top, with the STANDBY state under it
- Position in the stack — 8 / 11 — so nobody loses their place
- Green for a bar coming in, red for one going out; the scene and the calling note underneath
- Your own bar colours come through muted, with the colour as bright text — a full-brightness block is punishing to look at in a dark wing
- GO and BACK on screen, big enough to hit without looking down
Show Mode locks it
Flip the desk to Show at the half and the plot and cues lock. The show still runs — anyone signed in can fire GO and BACK — but nobody rewrites a cue by leaning on a trackpad before the overture.
A wallboard anyone can read
Join a spare monitor to the show by code, with no account, and it lands in a locked Fullscreen display. LX, sound and stage management can see what the fly floor is about to do next — and there's nothing on screen for them to touch.
Or the corner fires it
Whoever holds the book can fire the cues themselves — the stage manager takes GO from the prompt corner and the rail just watches it land. Or the fly floor drives and the corner follows. Same stack either way.
Paperwork
It prints what you already hand out
Two documents come straight out of the show file — the fly cue sheet for the crew and the flying plot for the lock rail — with your show credits in the header and the date it was printed on it. Because they're generated from the app you just teched on, they're never a version behind.

One sheet per operator
Print everyone's moves, or just one op's — cues with nothing for that person are left off their sheet entirely, so nobody reads past four cues that aren't theirs.
Printed for paper, not for a screen
IN, OUT and named deads print as light, ink-friendly tints rather than the dark treatment the screen uses — paper doesn't glare, so it doesn't need dimming.
Portrait or landscape
Pick the orientation, add a show picture, and the header carries your director, designer, head mechanist, venue and dates.
Button Mode
A phone becomes a cue remote
Open Button Mode and the screen strips back to two giant buttons — GO and BACK, sized for a thumb. Nothing to mis-tap in the dark, no menus to scroll past at the wrong moment.
Copy the Button Mode link, save it to a phone's home screen, and it opens straight into the remote with no login. Drive the show from the rail while a laptop elsewhere shows the full cue view.
Sync & crew
Everyone on the same cue
One six-digit show code gets every device onto the show. Cue changes and GO/BACK sync instantly to everyone connected.
Cloud Sync SYNCED 01:12:04
Share the show code below with every phone, iPad or computer that should track along live — cue changes and GO/BACK sync instantly to everyone connected.
Account & Access
Sign in as the Admin to manage the show and its people, as an Editor to build it, or as an Operator to fire GO/BACK. Anyone who hasn't signed in sees Fullscreen Mode only.
Button Mode
A fullscreen remote with just two giant buttons — GO and BACK — sized for a phone. Open it on a phone joined to the same show while a laptop elsewhere shows the full cue view.
Show File
Save this entire show — Plot, Cues, colours, show details, picture — as a single file on your computer. Load it on any other device to pick up exactly where you left off, with no account or internet needed.
Paperwork & Printing
Choose page orientation, then print either document. Print every move, or just one operator's — cues with no moves for that operator are left off their sheet.
Dead Positions
Intermediate "dead" trims remembered per bar. Add one on a move's Action field and it's available for the rest of the run.
Four roles, per show
The Admin starts the show, adds people and runs imports. Editors build it. Operators fire GO and BACK and print their own sheet. Viewers watch. Roles are granted show by show, so joining someone else’s costs you nothing.
Invite by email
Send a sign-in link and the crew member sets their own name and password. No handing out passwords at the half.
Operators join by code
Anyone with a FlyCue account can be added to the show as an operator using its six-digit code — no admin, no invite chain. They can fire GO and BACK from anywhere; they can't touch the plot, the cues or the settings.
My Shows
Every production in one list
A resident crew doesn't run one show — it runs a season. Every production you hold sits on one dashboard with its code beside it, and switching between them is a click, not a re-login.
- Show name, whose it is, and the join code side by side
- Add someone else's show to your list by typing its code
- Start a new production with its venue, location and dates
- Deleting a show for everyone takes typing its name to confirm — it's deliberately hard to do by accident
Paperwork, not a permit to fly
FlyCue records weights, working load limits and trims so the information is in one place and up to date. It doesn't inspect your rig and it doesn't drive your machinery. Loading, balance and every decision about whether a move is safe stay with the competent people on site, under your venue's own procedures.
Questions
The usual ones
Does it work if the venue Wi-Fi drops?
Yes. FlyCue runs in local mode with no connection at all — you save and load a show file on the machine. Cloud sync is there when you want multiple devices following each other; it isn't required to run a show.
Is it only for counterweight houses?
No. The plot and cue stack describe what moves, when, at what speed and to what trim — that works whether the bar is hemp, counterweight or motorised. FlyCue doesn't drive the machinery; it's the paperwork and the calling.
Can someone watch without an account?
Yes. Without signing in they get Fullscreen Mode — the live cue display — and nothing else. They can see where the show is up to, but not the plot, not the cue stack, and nothing they can fire or change.
Can I bring in a plot I already have?
Import your existing line set schedule as CSV. FlyCue works out whether the file is a plot or a cue list from its header row.
Can each operator get their own cue sheet?
Yes. Print the fly cue sheet for everyone, or for one operator — cues with no moves for that person are left off their sheet entirely.
Is there a native app?
FlyCue is a web app today and runs on anything with a browser. Native apps are on the way — get in touch if you want to hear when they land.
Standby, fly floor.
Open FlyCue in your browser and build your first plot in a few minutes. No install, nothing to set up.
